Dr. Clare L. Leonard, OD

Dr. Leonard graduated from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 2001 with honors.  She also received both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Biology from UAB.  Prior to attending the University of Alabama in Birmingham she attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and was a member of the Million Dollar Band.

During Optometry school Dr. Leonard participated in the Student Volunteers in Optometric service to Humanity and enjoyed providing eyecare in Central America.  She was also a member of the Golden Key and Beta Sigma Kappa honor societies. Dr. Leonard is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association

Dr.  Leonard spends her time away from the office with her husband and two children.  Gardening, fishing, reading, and cooking are just a few of the activities they enjoy together.

Wendy Roberts

Wendy is the office manager for Coastal Family Eyecare. She has worked for Dr. Leonard and Coastal Family Eyecare since 2008.  She currently files all insurance claims and applies insurance EOB's. She also takes care of all patient statements, insurance verification and eligilibility.

When she is not running the office she likes to spend her time with her husband and two daughters. 

Kim Blackmon

Kim is the Optical Assistant at Coastal Family Eyecare.  She is in charge of all our frame and lens orders.  She will help you choose the right frame and lens options to fit your needs and lifestyle. Kim also on occasion will pretest patients comming in for an appointment. Kim is also in charge of any sales representatives that come into the office.

When Kim is not hard at work here she enjoys spending time with her son and family.

Morgan Alderfer

Morgan is the Optometrist Asistant for Dr. Leonard she assists with pre-testing, takes all patient eye photos, takes care of all contact lens orders, checks in all eyewear orders and makes adjustments to frames.  During the pretesting part of your office visit she thoroughly goes over your health history to see if there maybe a medical diagnosis that Dr. Leonard may file to your insurance.  She also does a wonderful job helping patients selecting new eyewear.

When away from the office Morgan enjoys good conversations and laughter, going to the gym, being a chauffeur to her five children Tad, Sam, Nate, Kayla and Phebee. She enjoys playing board games, loves living at the beach since she is originally from Philadelphia. Morgan is a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fan and has been told she makes the best pop up bowl popcorn around.

Jessica Long

Jessica is the Receptionist and Insurance Specialist at Coastal Family Eyecare.  She is beginning to take over the filing of all the insurance claims and applying the EOB payments from the insurance companies and patient payments. She also handles all of the appointment scheduling, pre appointment confirmations, day before appointment reminders and insurance eligilibility and referrals. Along with this she will be sending out the monthly patient statements and assists in the Optical area when needed.

Away from the office Jessica enjoys spending time with her family watching SEC Football, particularly Auburn Football (she is originally from there) War Eagle! She is married to Wes and has two children Rylee and Bryant, they all enjoy spending any available time at the beach. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipies, her favorite of which is her homemade cream cheese lasagne. She is new to the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze Area so she ejnoys being able to try new resturants and places out.
